WELCOME
The North East and Yorkshire Youth Sailing Association organises the long running youth traveller series in the region. Other events are also organised, such as regional team racing and race coaching. The Association also takes teams to regional and national events, such as the National Schools' Sailing Association annual regatta and team racing competitions.
Youth & Junior Events
The Association is actively engaged in the planning and execution of events across the North East and Yorkshire region, aimed at catering to the needs of young sailors. These events are designed to be inclusive and supportive, ensuring all participants feel welcome and valued.

Team Racing
Instead of individual efforts, this element of sailing is all about team work. Team racing develops communication skills, tactics, boat handlilng and strategy planning, It is also immensely fun and exciting. We have a regional event every year and we send teams to some national team-racing events through NSSA and the Eric Twiname Trust.
Other Events
We also organise regional coaching that is open to any sailor in any boat. Recently we have sent teams to the NSSA events and also participated in the Eric Twiname Team Racing Events.
In 2024 we took responsibility for organising the regional Junior Championships and this event will continue under a slightly revised format in 2025.
Opportunity For All Youth & Junior Sailors In The Region
The association aims to provide high quality racing for all young sailors in the region, regardless of the class of boat they sail, their financial situation or social demographic, where they live or where their sailing aspirations may take them.
